We have had some pretty chilly temperatures this winter, but this Saturday will be the Coldest Night of the Year, no matter what the thermometer says! That's when people across Canada will walk to raise funds for charities that support the hungry, homeless and hurting in our communities. Wilmot is participating this year in support of the Wilmot Family Resource Centre which "for the past 38 years has been a leading provider for social services to individuals and families in the Wilmot and Wellesley Townships."  The goal is to raise $20,000 through this walk. Find out more about the Wilmot walk in this article.

The walk happens February 23rd, meeting at the St. Agatha Community Centre. There are a variety of walk distances as well as different ways to support this fundraiser. Find out all of the details on the event page.

The Coldest Night of the Year helps collect "donations that fund critical services at a local charity partner who serves and supports vulnerable families and individuals". The walk hopes to support those experiencing homelessness, hunger, or hurt in our communities. "
Each step we take brings someone closer to safety, health and home, as together, we raise funds for organizations whose commitment and work transforms peoples’ lives." #365ofgoodWR
