![]() A new committee is being formed in Kitchener called the Mayor's Task Force on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. I remember hearing about this possibility in the mayor's inauguration address earlier this year and was glad that not only is this on the radar of of the city, but they are working to identify achievable actions regarding equity and inclusivity. The team will consist of approximately 45 members, including city staff, representatives from local organizations, and community members. The task force seeks to broaden community engagement, especially with those from diverse backgrounds. Community members interested in participating must live, work, attend school, or own property in Kitchener and must fill out an application before June 30th, 2019. Find out more details in the City's media release and the Kitchener Post article. #365ofgoodWR
