![]() Sanguen has been on my #365ofgoodWR 'draft list' for awhile now. I keep delaying it as I'm worried I won't do it justice. But I want to share about this organization because I think it's one that is not as well known by the general population as I think it should be. Sanguen is a local organization offering a variety of supports to the community including naloxone training, peer support groups, pharmacy services, and the community health van. The mobile van was developed through the realization that people can not focus on their health needs if they are constantly facing many other stresses. Therefore the van offers a variety of things including food and clothing, testing, referrals, hygiene products, and supportive counselling. Sanguen believes that "people living in at-risk communities deserve compassionate support and accurate information to assist them to make informed choices about their lives". This is only a snapshot of what Sanguen is all about. Please visit their website to learn more about the important work they are doing. There are many ways you can support the work that Sanguen is doing by volunteering, donating, or even buying one of these shirts that also helps spread the important message of 'support, not stigma" (other shirts are available as well).
