![]() Yesterday's post reflected on all of the amazing public art we have in our region. Today, I want to highlight a different kind of creative project. It involves art, community building, and the element of surprise - so you know it's right up my alley! It's called KW Rocks! It involves people painting rocks, hiding them throughout their neighbourhood, and other people finding them. I first heard about this group when I discovered a lovely painted rock in my front yard last week and wondered where it came from. I turned it over to discover the message "You found me! Join KWRocks on FB. You can keep me, replace me, or hide me". Now unfortunately I do not have a picture of that lovely rock as I was heading out in a rush when I discovered and by the time I returned, it had been found by someone else. However, I still joined the Facebook group. There, I discovered a group of nearly 1300 folks who are busy painting and hiding rocks. It's lovely to see the effort and creativity of all the rocks on the page that are soon to be hidden in neighbourhoods - maybe yours! We definitely benefit when we include creativity, colour, and fun in our lives. Yesterday's post looked at how public art contributes to that. Today's focus on KWRocks encourages us to take up our paintbrushes and paint some community into our own neighbourhood! #365ofgoodWR
