![]() While running for council last Fall, I had the opportunity to meet so many new people and to engage in important discussions about the vision for our city. Two people I met were fellow political candidates (both running in Waterloo), Jen Vasic and Tenille Bonoguore. I was thrilled that they both were successful in their campaigns because I knew they would bring a progressive and compassionate perspective to all the work they would do in their new roles. This article from The Record confirms that they are doing exactly that. As outlined in the article, Tenille and Jen asked Waterloo Council to "entrench into its work, through the strategic plan, an overarching and pervasive dual-principle of equity and environment." The article goes on to outline what that means exactly, why it is needed, and the potential positive impact it could have on the community. I'm delighted that we have such passionate and caring councillors working in our region. They are helping bring #365ofgoodWR to our community.
